A Ministry of our Three Community Parish Locations
The Food Bank of St Andrew the Apostle Parish serves the Communities of Monongahela, Donora, and Charleroi. It runs strictly on a volunteer basis and is funded through the generosity of our Parish Community.
Our Food Bank is held on the second Wednesday of each month, and all the sites have a place to distribute. Charleroi distribution is in Marion Hall, Donora distribution is in the school hall, and Monongahela distribution is at Parish park. Food is distributed from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm each month. Currently, we’re serving 125 families.
The Food Bank falls under the Ministry of Service and Charity, an assignment Bishop David Zubik gave to our Pastoral Associate, Deacon Al Poroda. We are currently assisting 125 families in our community.
New volunteers are always welcome to join this Ministry of Service — from grocery shopping and pick-up to food packing and distribution.
If you are interested in becoming a part of this ministry, making a monetary donation, or a donation to the food bank in memory of a loved one, please call any of our three sites at:
